A comprehensive industrial supply chain mobilized for a large-scale project
At its facilities, EFINOR is currently manufacturing a steel superstructure for the French Navy. This ongoing project demonstrates comprehensive industrial expertise, from the design phase through to the final stages of preparation for shipment.
A rigorous and structured manufacturing process
Measuring 8 meters on each side and weighing approximately 80 tons, this superstructure took nearly 12,000 hours to build.
Welding and dimensional inspection operations are performed in accordance with the requirements of ISO 3834, ensuring a high level of quality and traceability.
An optimized industrial organization
To address scheduling and complexity challenges, teams are organized in a tailored structure, which includes having partner machining teams operate on a two-shift schedule. This structure ensures operational continuity and adherence to deadlines.
Manufacturing takes place directly on the installation equipment, thereby optimizing the critical stages of handling, transport, and installation.
A series of carefully managed steps
The project is based on a fully integrated production line within the workshops:
This approach helps minimize external interfaces and secure the entire industrial process.
Multi-stakeholder coordination
The integration of equipment is carried out in collaboration with the various project stakeholders present in the workshops. This concurrent activity requires close coordination and careful organization of workspaces and workflows.
A project still in progress in the workshops
Production, which began in early 2025, is continuing, with the painting and transfer phases underway in the workshop in preparation for the integration of weapon systems.
Through this project, EFINOR demonstrates its ability to manage complex industrial operations by controlling the entire value chain within its own facilities.
