Equity investments
The EFINOR group has taken a stake in the capital of two Normandy companies, namely :
Normandy Hadrontherapy
"the power of innovation to treat cancer"
The company was created by the semi-public company SAPHYN (SAnté et PHYsique Nucléaire) and the Belgian company IBA alongside private partners including EFINOR. The mission consists of the construction and installation, within the CYCLHAD centre on the northern plateau of Caen, of a second-generation cyclotron accelerator, the only one of its kind in the world, the "C 400 Ions" cyclotron. In addition to proton beam treatments, it will offer helium and carbon ion treatments. The "C 400 Ions" cyclotron is scheduled to be delivered from June 2024.
Normandy Hadrontherapy holds the intellectual property of this new concept and will be responsible for its development in partnership with several industrialists

The company was created by the Normandy Region via the Normandie Participation investment fund and Simec Atlantis Energy alongside a Normandy industrialist, EFINOR.
