Our teams from our engineering office EFINOR Ingénierie & Process have carried out the studies and the installation of a tire checking station for one of the group's customers.
The installation is composed of a welded gantry of 8.5 m long by 3.5 m wide and 5 m high; the whole weighs 3 tons.
It is sized for fatigue in order to meet the high operating rate of the station.
The gantry is equipped with a modular rail system over its entire length, fitted with a remote-controlled motorized cart.
The tires are picked up by the system and rotated at an ergonomic height for visual inspection.
For the comfort and efficiency of the work area, a study of lux (unit of measurement of light) was conducted.
In fact, 4 large size LED panels have been integrated into the gantry.
The interior of the tires is also backlit by a system positioned as close to the area as possible.
