France Energie Eolienne: opening of wind farms to schools

From April 25 to May 12, France Energie Eolienne invites high school students from all over France to visit 137 wind farms throughout the country.

Called "Generation Transition", this event is an opportunity for nearly 8,000 young people to discover renewable energies, the challenges of the energy transition and the fight against global warming, all in real-life situations. It's an opportunity to ask questions, to understand and learn how the wind is transformed into electricity, and to discover new and particularly meaningful jobs.

These awareness and discovery visits will take place around the date of the "day of the earth's overflow" in France: if all humanity consumed as much as the French, the entire planet would have totally exhausted the resources it can renew in one year. This date is certainly symbolic, but it has a deep meaning, especially for this generation that has been quick to take up climate issues.

In addition to discovering in situ the renewable energy that creates the most jobs in France, these young people from 10 to 18 years old will be able to learn more about how each wind turbine supplies thousands of homes with renewable electricity, as well as about the studies, training and jobs that allow us to take action against global warming.

As a member of France Energie Eolienne, the EFINOR group is proud to share this meaningful initiative, congratulations and nice visits to the young people!
